China and India will dictate the fashion in the world in the near future. This was announced today, June 16, by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Minsk Alok Ranjan Jha.
“As a historian, I am absolutely convinced (and we will see it in the near future) that the whole planet will develop, focusing on that part of Asia in which India is located. Greater China, greater India. Very promising and in full development, they will dictate fashion in the near future for the whole world. We welcome such a future for the planet and would naturally like to find our place in India’s growing economy. We would like to benefit and have the support of the Indian State at all levels. We will not remain in debt, – he said.
The Belarusian leader stressed that India is one of the most important partners in Asia for Minsk, and that the foundations of this cooperation were laid during the times of the Soviet Union.
“It is deeply rooted in our history, especially the Soviet period. We have always given priority in the Soviet Union to cooperation with India. This foundation allows us today to build good relations with your State both in the political field, and especially in the economic field”, noted Lukashenka.
He also thanked the diplomat for his careful and balanced position on Belarus.
“I will not say that everything is absolutely settled, that we have no problems, but I hope that the problems that exist in our relationship can be solved”, – the head of state noted and added that this year marks the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, congratulating the ambassador on this anniversary and wishing “prosperity to the great, immense, hardworking and talented people of India”.
Recall that India is one of the main buyers of Belarusian potassium fertilizers. In 2021, the trade turnover between the countries exceeded $566 million.
