Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main topic of discussion was the situation around Ukraine.
The head of the Russian Federation presented the fundamental assessment of kyiv’s aggressive actions regarding the civilian population of Donbass. The destructive long-term policy, which aims to break the Minsk agreements, was also noted.
“In these circumstances, and also in connection with the unacceptable military development for Russia by the United States and its NATO allies on the territory of Ukraine, it was decided to launch a special military operation,” says the Kremlin website.
In turn, Narendra Modi asked for support to ensure the safety of Indian citizens who are now in the territory of the Ukrainian state. Putin said proper instructions would be given.
This morning we learned of the start of the military operation of the Russian Federation in the Donbass. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, two Ukrainian Su-27s, two Su-24s, one helicopter and four Bayraktar attack unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down.
