Ekaterinburg will host the first International Eurasian Continent Debut Festival “One Sixth”. The festival will be organized by the Sverdlovsk Film Studio from August 1 to 7, the event was officially supported by the Ministry of Culture.
“This year, our film studio will hold its own festival in Yekaterinburg – the 1st International Festival of the Eurasian Continent’s debut “One Sixth”. It’s already official: the Ministry of Culture has published a list of film events that will receive support in 2022. The planned dates are already known: from August 1 to August 7,” reads the message on the film studio’s website.
It should be noted that two competitions for first films will take place within the framework of the festival: international and Russian. Organizers expect the cultural event to welcome contestants from across Russia, as well as neighboring countries, Serbia, Greece, India, Iran, China, Korea and other countries .
The festival program will include feature films, documentaries and animated films. The team of the film studio, Ural filmmakers and experienced organizers, producers of international film festivals (MIFF, Premonition, Kinoproba) are working on organizing the event, the film studio said.
